Ziarat Prophet Muhammad ('s)

ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA RASOOLALLAAH	Peace be on you, O Messenger of Allah.
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA NABIYALLAAH	Peace be on you, O Prophet of Allah.
ASSALAAMIJ ALAYKA YAA MUH'AMMAD ABNA A'BDILLAH	Peace be on you, O Muhammad son of Abdillah.
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA KHAATAMIN NABIYYEEN	Peace be on you, O the seal of Prophets.
ASHHADIJ ANNAKA QAD BALAGHTAR RISAALAH WA AQAMTAS'S'ALAATA WA AATAYTAZ ZAKAATA WA AMARTA BIL MAA'ROOFI WA NAHAYTA ANIL MUNKAR WA A'BADTALLAAHA MUKHLIS'AA Allah, H'ATTAA ATAAKAL YAQEEN	I bear witness that you carried and delivered the Message, established the prayers, Paid the prescribed alms, directed to do what is lawful, forbade not to do what is unlawful, devotedly worshipped and served till the inevitable came unto you.
FA S'ALAWAATULLAAHI A'LAYKA WA RAH'MATUHU WA A'LAAHIL BAYTIKAT TAAHIREEN	Blessings and mercy of Allah be on you and on your pure children.
ASH HADU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WAH'DAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU WA ASH HADU ANNA MUH'AMMADAN A'BDUHU WA RASOOLUHU WA ASH HADU ANNAKA RASOOLULLAAH WA ANNAKA MUH'AMMADUBNU A'BDILLAH WA ASHHADU ANNAKA QAD BALLAGHTA RISAALAATI RABBIKA	I bear witness that there is no God save Allah, the One who has no associate. I bear witness that Muhammad is His bondman and Messenger, I bear witness that verily you are the Messenger of Allah, and you are Muhammad son of Abdullah. I bear witness that you carried and, delivered the Message of your Lord,
WA NAS'AH'TA LI UMMATIKA WA JAAHADTA FEE SABEELILLAAH WA A'BADTALLAAH H'ATTA AATAAKAL YAQEEN BIL H'IKMATI WAL MAWI'Z'ATIL H'ASANAH WA ADDAYTALLAD'EE A'LAYKA MINAL H'AQQ WA ANNAKA QAD RAUFTA BIL MOOMINEEN WA GHALUZZ'TA A'LAL KAAFIREEN	gave sincere advise to your followers, strived in the way of Allah, worshipped and served Allah, with wisdom and good counsel, that which was entrusted to you from the True God has been pronounced by you, you were kind unto the faithfuls, but severely dealt with the infidels.
FABALLAGHALLAAHU BIKA AFZALA SHARAFI MAH'ALLIL MUKARRAMEEN	So Allah raised you to the noblest and the most celebrated position,
ALH'AMDU LILLAAHILLAD'IS TANQAD'ANAA BIKA MINASH SHIRKI WAZ' ZALAALAH	Praise be to Allah that He saved us, through you, from "giving partners to Allah", and from going astray,
ALLAAHUMMA FAJ-A'L S'ALAWAATIKA WA S'ALAWAATI MALAA-IKATIL MUQARRABEENA WA AMBIYAA-IKAL MURSALEENA WA l'BAADIKAS'S'AALIH'EENA WA AHLISSAMAAWAATI WAL ARZ'EEN WA MAN S'ABBAH'A LAKA	O Allah, therefore, Thy blessings, blessings of Thy favourite Angels, commissioned Prophets, pious servants, and the dwellers of the heavens and the earths, and those who glorify Thee,
YAA RABBAL A'ALAMEEN MINAL AWWALEENA WAL AAKHIREEN A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN A'BDIKA WA RASOOLIKA WA NABBIYYIKA WA AMEENIKA WA NAJIYYIKA WA H'ABEEBIKA WA S'AFIYYIKA WA KHAAS'S'ATIKA WA S'AFWATIKA WA KHIYARATIKA MIN KHALQIKA	O Lord of the worlds, from the beginning to the end, be on Muhammad, Thy bondman, Messenger, Prophet, confidant, beloved, sincere friend, preferred choice, and goodness, Thou Thyself chose from among all that which has been created by Thee.
ALLAAHUMMA AA'T'IHID DARAJATAR RAFEEA'H  WA AATIHIL WASEELATA MINAL JANNAH WAB?A'TH?HU MAQAAMAN MAH'MOODAA YAGHBIT'UHU BIHIL AWWALOONA WAL AAKHIROON ALLAAHUMMA INNAKA QULTA WA LAW ANNAHUM ID' Z'ALAMOO ANFUSAHUM JAAA UKA FASTAGHFARULLAAHA WASTAGHFARA LAHUMUR RASOOLU LAWAJADULLAAHA TAWWAABAN RAH'EEMAA WA INNEE AATAYTUKA MUSTAGHFIRAN TAA IBAN MIN D'UNOOBEE WA INNEE ATAWAJJAHU BIKA ILALLAAHI RABBEE WA RABBIKA LIYAGHFIR LEE D'UNOOBEE	O Allah elevate him to the highest rank, make him the means of approach to the Paradise, let him reach and stay at the praised position, (so that) the ancients and the moderns find his position enviable. O Allah Thou has said: "And if, when they had wronged themselves, they had but come unto you and asked forgiveness of the Messenger, they would have found Allah Forgiving, Merciful." I seek your forgiveness, repentant of my wrongdoing and, through you, direct myself towards Allah, my Lord and your Lord, for obtaining pardon for me.
ALLAAHUMMA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA H'AMALA WAH'YAKA WA BALLAGHA RISAALAATIKA WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA AH'ALLA H'ALAALAKA WA H'ARRAMA H'ARAAMAKA WA A'LLAMA KITAABAKA WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN KAMAA AQAAMAS'S'ALAATA WA AATAZ ZAKAATA WA DA?A'A ILAA DEENIKA WA S'ALL I A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA S'ADDAQA BI?WAA' DIKA WA ASHFAQA MIN WA E'EDIKA WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA GHAFARTA BIHID' D'UNOOBA WA SATARTA B I H I L U'YOOBA WA FARRAJTA BIHIL KUROOB WA S'ALL I A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA DAFAA' TA BIHISH SHAQAAA?A WA KASHAFTA BIHIL GHAMMAAA A WA AJABTA BIHID DU?A'AAA WA NAJJAYTA BIHI MINAL BALAAA WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA RAH'IMTA BIHIL I'BAADA WA AH'YAYTA BIHIL BILAADA WA QAS'AMTA BIHIL JABAABIRATA WA AHLAKTA BIHIL FARAA I'NAH WA S'ALL I A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA AZ"?A'FTA BIHIL AMWAALA WA AH'RAZTA BIHI MINAL AHWAALI WA KASARTA BIHIL AS'NAAMA WA RAH'IMTA BIHIL ANAAM WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN KAMAA BAA'THTAHU BIKHAYRI L ADYAANI WA AA'?ZAZTA BIHIL EEMAANA WA TABBARTA BIHIL AWTHAANA WA A'Z'Z'AMTA BIHIL BAYTAL H'ARAAM WA S'ALLI A'LAA MUWAMMADIN WA AHLI BAYTIHIT' T'AAHIREENAL AKHYAARI WA SALLIM TASLEEMAA	O Allah send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that he carried and sustained Thy revelation, and delivered Thy Message; send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that he prescribed Thy lawful and proscribed Thy unlawful, and taught Thy Book; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that he established the prayers  and gave the obligatory alms and invited unto Thy Religion; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that he proved the truth of Thy covenant and reminded people to beware of Thy warning; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that Thou forgives sins, covers shortcomings, alleviates suffering, through him; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that Thou wards off misery and impudence, dispels sorrows, accepts supplications and keeps safe from misfortunes, through him; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that Thou took pity on mankind, made barren lands grow fertile, put asunder the tyrants, and destroyed the dictators through him; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that Thou multiplied provisions, provided refuge when terror reigned supreme, wrecked and uprooted the offensive loathsome forces of idolatory and kept mankind covered with Thy mercy through him; Send blessings on Muhammad for the reason that Thou sent him with the best of creeds, made faith strong, demolished the idols, glorified the Holy Kaa'bah through him; Send blessings and absolute peace on Muhammad and on his pure and pious children.
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA YAA RASOOLALLAAH ASTAWDI U'KALLAAH WA ASTAR?E'EKA WA AQRA U A'LAYKAS SALAAM AAMANTU BILLAAH WA BIMAA JIA TA BIHI WA DALALTA A'LAY H I ALLAAHUMMA LAA TAJ?A'LHU AAKHIRAL A'HDI MINNEE LIZIYAARATI   QABRI NABIYYIKA FA?IN TAWAFFAYTANEE QABLA D'AALIKA FA INNEE ASH HADU FEE MAMAATEE A'LAA MAA SHAH I DTU A'LAYH I FEE H'AYAATEE   AN LAA I LAAHA I LLAA ANTA   WA ANNA MUH'AMMADAN A'BDUKA WA RASOOLUKA S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYHI WA AALIHI	Peace be on you, O Messenger of Allah. I leave you with Allah, I request you to pay attention to me, I say "peace be on you", I believe in Allah, and in that which you brought, and in that to which you guided. O Allah let not my this visitation to the grave of Thy Prophet be the   last such occasion. If I am to die before I come here again, then I,  in the event of my death, bear witness to that which I used to testify in my lifetime, that there is no god save Thou, and that Muhammad is Thy bondman and Thy Messenger, blessings of Allah be on him and his children.
Ziarat Fatima Zahra binte Rasoolullah ('a)
YAA MUMTAHANATUM TAH'ANAKILLAAHUL LAD'EE KHALAQAKI QABLA AN YAKHLUQAKI O thoroughly tested, your creation was out and out measured by Allah before you were brought into being; FAWAJADIKI LIMAN TAH'ANAKI S'AABIRATAN So found you, as expected, in your examination, proper and accurate. WA ZAA'MNAA ANNAA LAKI AWLIYAAA-U WA MUS'ADDIQOONA WA S'AABIROONA LIKULLI MAA ATAANAA BIHI ABOOKI S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYHI WA AALIHI WA ATAA BIHI WAS'IYYUHU We declare (this) because (we) are your followers (friends), aware of the, truth, and are bound to all that which came with your father (blessings of Allah be on him and on his descendants) and his successor FA INNAA NASALUKI IN KUNNAA S'ADDAQNAAKI ILLAA ALH'AQTINAA BI TAS'DEEQINAA So, we expect, if we rightly make known your truthfulness, nothing but our duty, and for our testimony of them, LAHUMAA LINUBASHSHIRA ANFUSANAA BI ANNAA QAD T'AHURNAA BI WALAAYATIKI to receive from you good tidings for ourselves, because our sincere friendship with you purifies us. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA B I NTA RASOOLILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the Messenger of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA NABIYYILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the Prophet of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA H'ABEEBILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the dearest beloved of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA KHALEELILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the close friend of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA S'AFIYYILLAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the sincere servant of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA AMEENILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the faithful confidant of Allah. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA KHAYRI KHALQILLAAH Peace be on you, O Daughter of the best creation of Allah. ASSA LAAM U A'LAYKI YAA BINTA AFZ"ALI AMBIYAA ILLAAH WA RUSULIHI WA MA LAAIKATIHI Peace be on you, O Daughter of the superior most among the Prophets of Allah, and His Messengers and His Angels. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA BINTA KHAYRIL BARIYYATI Peace be on you, O Daughter of the "Best Individual" ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA SAYY I DATA NISAA IL A'ALAMEENA MINAL AWWALEENA WAL AAKH I R EEN Peace be on you, O Chief of the women of the the worlds, from the beginning to the end. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA ZAWAJTA WALIWILLAAI WA KHAYRAL KHALQI BAA DA RASOOLILLAAH Peace be on you, O wife of the representative of Allah, the best creation, after the Messenger of Allah, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI YAA UMMAL H'ASANI WAL H'USAYNI SAYYIDAY SHABAABI AHLIL JANNATI Peace be on you, O Mother of Hasan and Husayn, the prime leaders of the people of Paradise. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI AYYATUHAS' SIDIDEEQATUSH SHAHEEDATU Peace be on you, O truthful Martyr. ASSALAAMU ALAYKI AYYATUHAR RAZ'IYYATUL MARZ ''IYYATUL Peace be on you, O thankfully satisfied. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI AYYATUHAL FAAZ'ILATUZ ZAKIYYATU Peace be on you, O distinctly wise, ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI AYYATUHAL H'AWRAAUL INSIYYATU Peace be on you, O heavenly beauty in human shape. ASSALAAMU KLAYKI AYYATUHAT TAQIYYATUN NAQIYYATU Peace be on you, O God fearing, pure and holy. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI MUH'ADDATHATUL A'LEEMATU Peace be on you, O wise who conversed with the Angels. ASSALAAMU A'LAYKI AYYATUHAL MAZTOOMATUL MAGHS'OOBATU Peace be on you, O wrongfully and unlawfully kept out, under duress. ASSALAAMU A'LAYK1 AYYATUHAL MUZ''T'AHADATUL MAQHOORATU Peace be on you, O who was made a victim of violent treatment. ASSALAAMUA'LAYKI YAA FAAT'IMATU BINTA RASOOLILLAAH WA RAH'MATULLAAHI WA BARAKAATUHU Peace be on you, O Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah, and Mercy of Allah and His blessings; S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYKI WA A'LAA ROOH'IKI WA BADANIKI Blessings of Allah be on you, on your soul and body. ASHHADU ANNAKI MAZAYTI A'LAA BAYYINATIN MIN RABBIKI WA ANNA MAN SARRAKI FAQAD SARRA RASOOLALLAAHI I bear witness that, verily, you departed from this world as a convincing proof of Allah and that he who made you happy, indeed, had satisfied the Messenger of Allah, S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYHI WA AALIHI Blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. WA MAN JAFAAKI FAQAD JAFAA RASOOLALLAAHI SALLALLAAHU A'LAYHI WA AALIHI He who opposed you, in fact, had opposed the Messenger of Allah, Blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. WA MAN AAD'AAKI FAQAD AAD'AA RASOOLALLAAHI He who hurt you, in fact, had hurt the Messenger of Allah, S'ALLALLAAHU ALAYHI WA AALIHI Blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. WA MAN WAS'ALAKI FAQAD WAS'ALA RASOOLALLAAHI He who loved you, indeed, had loved the Messenger of Allah, S'ALLALLAAHU ALAYHI WA AALIHI Blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. WA MAN QAT'AA'KI FAQAD QAT'A RASOOLALLAAHI He who renounced you, infact, had renounced the Messenger of Allah. S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAYHI WA AALIHI Blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. LI ANNAKI BIZA'TUN MINHU WA ROOH'UHUL LAD'EE BAYNA JANBAYHI Certainly you are his part and parcel, and his joy, permanently attached to his body and soul. USHHIDULLAAHA WA RUSULAHU WA MALAAA IKATAHU I call Allah as a witness, and also His Messengers and His Angels, ANNEE WALIYYUN LIMAN WAALAAKI WA A'DUWWUN LIMAN AADAAKI that indeed he is my friend whom your love is available, he is my enemy who is your opponent, WA HARBUN LIMAN H'AARABAKI he, is my adversary who makes war against you. ANAA YAA MAWLAATEE BIKI WA BIABEEKI WA BAA'LIKI WAL IMMATI MIN WULDIKI MOOQINUN WA BI WILAAYATIHIM MOOMINUN WA LIT'AA A'TIHIM MULTAZIMUN I am with you O the most noble Lady, with your father, with your husband and with the Imams, in your progeny; sure of your children, faithful unto their authority, and have taken obedience unto them as a a duty upon myself. ASHHADU ANNAD DEENA DEENUHUM WAL H'UKMA HUKMUHUM I affirm that "the religion" is their religion, and "the authority" is their authority. WA HUM QAD BALLAGHOO A'N I L LAAH I A'ZZA WA JAL LA WA DA A'W I LAA SABEELILLAAHI BIL H'IKMATI WAL MAW?I'Z'ATIL HASANATI LAA TAA KHUD'UHUM FIL?LAAHI LAWMATU LAAA?IMIN They certainly performed their duty unto the Almighty, the Glorious Allah, and called unto the path of Allah with wisdom and good advice, criticism of the mean did not deter them, WA S'ALAWAATULLAAH I A'LAY K I WA A'LAA ABEEKI WA BAA'LIKI WA D'URIYYATIKIL A IMMATIT'T'AAHIREEN ALLAAHUMMA S'ALLI A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN WA AHLI BAYTIHI Blessings of Allah be on you and on your father, on your husband, and on your progeny, the pure Imams. O Allah send blessings Muhammad peace be upon him and on the People of the House. WA SALLI ALAL BATOOLIT' T'AAHIRATIS S'IDDEEQATIL MAKS'OOMATIT TAQIYYATIN NAQIYYATIR RAZIYYATIL MARZIYYATIZ ZAKIYYATIR RASHEEDATIL MAZ'LOOMATIL MAQHOORATIL MAGHS'OOBATI HAQQUHAL MAMNOOATIR RTHUHAL MAKSOORATI ZILU'HAL MAZ'LOOMI BAA'LUHAL MAQTOOLI WALADUHAA Bless, the Batool, the pure, the infallible truthful, God fearing, holy, agreeing, satisfied, wise, upright, wronged, unjustly treated, oppressed, prevented from getting her rights, her house was set on fire, her ribs were broken, her husband was wronged, her children were killed, FAATIMATA BINTI RASOOLIKA WA BIZA'TI LAH'IMIHI WA S'AMEEIVII QALB1HI WA FILD'ATI KABIDIHI WA ANNUKHBATI MINKA LAHU WA ATTUH'FATI KHAS'AS'TA BIHAA WAS'IYYAHU WA H'ABEEBATIL MUSTAFAA WA QAREENATIL MURTAZAA WA SAYYDATIN NISAAI WA MUBASHSHIRATIL AWLIYAAI HALEEFATIL WARAI' WAZ ZUHIDI Fatimah, daughter of Thy Prophet, his flesh and blood, his peace of mind, his heart's beat, and a choice of Thou she is, a rare precious particularised masterpiece for his successor, darling of Mustafa, soul and self of Murtaza, chief of the women, paraclete (intercessor) of the "most excellent, supporter of the chaste, and the devotees of Allah, vision of the kingdom to come, WA TUFFAHH'ATIL FIRDAWSI WAL KHULDIL LIYAAKAI LATEE SHARRAFTA MAWLIDAHAA BI NISAAIL JANNATI WA SALALTA MINHAA ANWAARAL AIMMATI WA ARKHAYTA DOONAHAA H'IJAABAN NUBUWWATI rejoiced in glory the women of Paradise on her birth, the light of the Imams were drawn out from her, no one is covered, except her, with the inherent quality of prophethood. ALLAAHUMMA SALLI ALAYHAA SALAWAATAN TAZEEDU FEE MAH'ALLIHAA INDAKA WA SHARAFIHAA LADAYKA WA MANZI LATI HAA MIN RIZ"AAKA WA BALLIGHAA MINNAA TAH'IYYATAN WA SALAAMAN O Allah, send blessings on her, which add more and more to her position near Thee and glorify her honour before Thee (so that) her status gives Thee joy and delight convey our salutation and greetings to her, WA AATINAA MIN LADUNKA FEE H'UBBIHAA FAZ"LAN WA IH'SAANAN WA RAH'MATAN WA GHUFRAANAN and give us many bounties, gifts, mercy and forgiveness on account of our love for her. INNAKA D'UL A'FWIL KAREEM Verily Thou art forgiving, kind.

Mustahab Acts in Masjid Nabawi

Before entering Masjid Nabawi one should stand at Babe Jibrael and recite the dua on Page 45 of Adabul Haramain.

• When entering Masjidul Haraam, enter with the right foot and do one Tasbih of:

“Allahu Akbar” and say “ Laa ilaaha illallahu wa Allahu Akbar”

 Also recite the following dua while entering and preferably learn it by heart :

“Bismillahi wa billahi wa fee sabee lillah wa alaa millati Rasulillahi allallahu alayhi wasallam”

• One should recite 2 Rakaat Salaat of Tahiyatul Masjid - “I am reciting 2 Rakaat Salaat of Tahiyatul Masjid, Qurbatan Ilallah”

• Recite the Ziyarat of the Prophet (‘s) per Adabul Haramain, there are a number of ziyarat and mustahab acts to be performed, please refer to Pages 48 to 68.

• There are a number of duas to be recited at certain points of the Masjid, refer to Pages 69 to 78 of Adabul Haramain for details.

• There is a difference of opinion as to where the Lady of Light, Sayyeda Fatima (‘a) is buried. Some say that she is buried between the Mimbar and the grave of the Holy Prophet (‘s), others say that she is buried in her own house and some say she may be buried in Jannatul Baqee. The ziyarat of Bibi Fatima (‘a) is to be recited in the Masjid as well as at Jannatul Baqee.

• In Masjid Nabawi, the best Ibadaat is to recite your Qadha Salaat. It is recommended to pray 2 Rakaat Salaat next to each of the 7 Pillars in the Masjid.

• There is also a platform there where one should recite Quran and then recite 2 Rakaat Salaat of Jaffar Tayyar. This Ibadaah will ensure acceptance of your Hajaat - insh’Allah.

•Between the House and the Mimbar in Masjid Nabawi, there is a ‘piece of Jannat’ where one should recite 2 Rakaat Salaat. However this is not possible for the ladies because the area has been blocked off. Therefore, ladies may recite the 2 Rakaat Salaat next to the gate that separates them from the ‘piece of Jannat’ to gain as much sawaab as possible insh’Allah.

Before leaving Madinah, bid farewell to the Holy Prophet (‘s) in the manner shown on Pages 137 to 144 of Adabul Haramain.
