The
Resolution
A
resolution was adopted on the occasion, which strongly
condemned the inaction on the part of the government despite the
passage of more than a month since the Bari Imam Incident
and
the bid to term this act of open terrorism into a sectarian colour.
It
demanded the government arrest the culprits of terrorism
forthwith and give them exemplary punishment besides forming a
Tribunal without any delay to unveil the real objectives
behind the Bari Imam Incident and its report be publicized.
The resolution, while demanding to pay the damages to the
bereaved families of martyrs and the injured, made clear that
if this would not be done we would be justified in
understanding that all this was the doing of the government. By
the resolution, the majlis reiterated its resolve to fully
support every line of action given by the
Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi.
A
Matmi rally led by ulema, zakireen, and religious and Matmi
leaders was taken out after the Majlis in which thousands of
people participated. The participants of the rally were
carrying pictures of Agha Hamid Moosavi and placards and
banners inscribed with different protest slogans demanding the
immediate arrests of the assassins of the Bari Imam and
Madina-tul-Ilm Mosque Karachi incidents. The participants of
the rally were chanting different slogans which reached
Aabpara Chowk where it turned out into a big public meeting.
According
to witnesses, it was the biggest religious gathering in 25
years in Islamabad. The spirit of people was
notable.
Pakistan's
Islamic Ideology
Syed
Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central spokesman for TNFJ read out the
special message of Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of
the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya in which he made it clear
that Pakistan is the only ideological State in the world in
the creation of which all schools of thought took an equal
part without any discrimination. But soon after its creation,
opposing powers were bent upon diverting it from this ideology
and the day when a dictator took over power and announced
making Pakistan a sectarian State, was a blessing for them.
Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, by stopping this
unconstitutional move by taking over the Islamabad Secretariat
in the Federal Capital, made it clear that it could bear
everything but could not allow anyone to sidetrack from the
Basic Ideology. Therefore, by the grace of God, Pakistan
stands to its Islamic Ideology and would remain on it.
He
said that after failure to make the country a sectarian State,
the anti-Pakistan powers not only increased their activities
rather they adopted the path of terrorism as a result of which
the motherland has confronted the menace of terrorism for the
last two and a half decades but all schools of thought
practically displayed unity and brotherhood on every front
because we share our grief and happiness.
A Terrorist
Keeps No Religion
Hamid
Moosavi said that only TNFJ enjoys the credit of raising the
first voice against terrorism and adopted a point of view that
a terrorist keeps no religion, Maslak or a country, he is only
a terrorist and should be seen and handled in a similar
fashion. He said all rulers had been following the path of
reservation but when Gen. Pervez Musharraf came to power, he
enforced Anti-Terrorism Act in the larger interest of Pakistan
and its people by keeping the clear-cut point of view of the
TNFJ before him that is a proof that Pakistan is confronted
with the issue of terrorism and not sectarianism.
Moreover,
he said, by putting restrictions on terrorist groups he proved
that terrorists are only terrorists and they do not belong to
any sect. President Pervez Musharraf took better steps till he
remained the Chief Executive but when Jamali joined the
government as a Prime Minister, the terrorists became active
and President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz
became their target also but they escaped unhurt by the grace
of God. It was not sectarianism but terrorism.
At The
Holy Shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar
Enemy
forces sabotaged the Anti-Terrorism law and the government
took Fatwa within Pakistan to declare suicide attacks as
‘haraam’ (illegal). It is not clear why it was needed? The
ink of this Fatwa was still wet that Tehreek
Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan was made target of terrorism.
I had said on the spot after the 27th May terrorist incident
at Bari Imam that I was the target of terrorists but my sons
and pieces of heart were martyred and injured. This gory
incident took place at the holy shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam
Sarkar that is respected by all schools of thought. Hazrat
Bari Imam and the man at your service (myself) belong to the
same Shajrah-e-Tayyaba.
The
Bari Imam Incident is not a casual incident because those who
committed this act of terrorism have shattered the corridors
of power by committing this act in the most sensitive area
near the President's House and the Prime Minister’s
Secretariat in the Federal Capital. Moosavi asked why only we
were made a target after getting the Fatwa?
The
world is aware that we always talked of honour and dignity of
the Islamic World, oppressed and Muslim nations, preaching of
unity and brotherhood. Our slogan “Sunni-Shia Bhai Bhai”
is still echoing in the air even today and would continue to
do so. Processions of grandfather Rasool’s (SAW) Milad and
Hussain Mazloom’s (A.H.) Azadari would continue to be taken
out. Ahle Sunnat and Christians also courted arrests along
with us to express solidarity during the 8-month long movement
launched from Hussaini Mohaz for the Shia rights in the worst
era of martial law and Ahle Sunnat and Christians were also
there amongst the martyrs and injured of the Bari Imam
incident.
Four
government personalities tried to declare this incident of
sectarian nature soon after the Bari Imam incident that was
the first incident happened after the Fatwa against suicide
attacks, and the media highlighted their statements.
Moosavi
made it clear again that neither sectarianism prevailed in
Pakistan before nor it is there now or will be allowed in
future. All schools of thought from home to school, mosque to
office, President and Prime Minister House to National
Assembly and Senate are not only working together but also
defending the motherland jointly and would do so in future
also. Our perpetual enemy does not differentiate between
Sunni, Shia, Deobandi, Barelvi, and Ahle Hadis but sees who is
Pakistani. God forbid there would be any sectarian conflict
here. Such a day if dawned would be the most unfortunate one.
The Path
of Peace
The
TNFJ chief said Pakistan could have been turned into “Aagistan”
after the Bari Imam incident, fuel could have been added
to the fire but despite taking over the Secretariat in 1980,
we adopted the path of peace. Whether it is the 8-month long
agitation in 1985 or Shah-e-Najaf incident or gory murder of
Shaheed son Aun Muhammad Rizvi, we adopted the path of peace
and tranquillity on every occasion and proved through our
deeds that Islam is the religion of peace and tranquillity and
could not even imagine causing harm to anyone and killing even
an animal is not correct.
He
said we are asked what the rulers did with us? I would like to
tell the nation that soon after the Bari Imam Incident,
statements issued by some Ministers were extremely
irresponsible and were tantamount to adding fuel to the fire
but we thwarted this conspiracy with our deeds and the courage
of Haider-e-Karrar ('a).

Agha Syed Visits
the injured in hospital after
the Bari Imam Incident
The
President, Prime Minister and Ministers reach the places of
normal incidents but the Bari Imam Incident is the first of
its kind where the President, Prime Minister and even Ministers
and Advisers did not bother to come or say a few words of
condolences. On the contrary, some Ministers tried to get some
injured discharged from hospitals before their recovery by
visiting hospitals four days after the incident. However, the Islamabad District Administration cooperated with the TNFJ
Islamabad and provided assistance to the Pursa Bari Imam
Committee from collective funeral prayers to send off the
bodies to their respective home towns and in looking after and
providing treatment to the injured for which we are thankful
to them. He said in all manifestoes the world over, giving
rights to all citizens on equal basis has been ensured but
rulers in Pakistan were following a policy of duplicity.
We
are being punished only for our friendship and love for
religion, motherland and its people. Those who condole with us
from within or without also ask us what the government had
done regarding Bari Imam incident? I would like to tell them
that the government fully tried to press and give this
incident a sectarian colour that is tragic. Neither the
culprits have been arrested so far nor a Probe Tribunal was
set up or the bereaved families of martyrs and the injured
were compensated.
He
called upon the powers that be not to force them to take any
line of action as we are peaceful people, we keep Pakistan,
religion, people dearer than anything else, we only demand
justice and fair-play.
He
lamented that Musharraf is the first President and Shaukat
Aziz is the first Prime Minister who talked about their Maslak.
Do they desire to make Pakistan a sectarian State? If so, they
should keep in mind that we could be cut into pieces but would
not allow Pakistan to be cut into pieces, we could be wiped
out but would not allow anyone to wipe out Pakistan. They
should talk only about Pakistan, Pakistan’s Constitution
does not mention any sect or Maslak for a President and Prime
Minister but they should be Muslim.
We
would give time to the rulers to ponder over that they live in
an ideological State and they should prove through their words
and character that they are ideological too and keep Pakistan
dear. Therefore they should avoid issuing such statement that
may be beneficial for the combined enemy.
Paying
tributes to world martyrs regardless of their sect and country
including the TNFJ martyrs of Bari Imam incident, martyrs of
Madina-tul-Ilam Mosque and La’al Shah Sorasi, he said if all
including myself are killed in way of religion and motherland,
it would be a blessing for us but we would never allow anyone
to cause any harm to the religion, motherland, Islamic World
and the oppressed nations.
He
challenged that Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya is the only
movement of the world behind which there is no Establishment,
but Allah, Rasool ('s), Aal-e-Rasool ('s), and pious Sahaba
Kubaar who help us and we depend on Allah and leave our
decision on Allah.
Moosavi
said we are practically against any type of terrorism and
express hatred against chief of the terrorist world and
strongly condemn oppression going on in Kashmir, Palestine,
Afghanistan and Iraq. Moreover, we announce our support to the
oppressed and hatred against the oppressor following the
saying of Maula-e-Kainaat Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib ('a).
He prayed that
may Allah give patience to the bereaved families to bear this
irreparable loss with fortitude and give a place along with
Syed-ush-Shuhada to all martyrs.
Syed
Shujaat Ali Bokhari, Central Additional Secretary General, and
Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, President TNFJ District
Islamabad also addressed the rally.
Later, hundreds
of Matmi organizations included in the Matmi rally reached
back at Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah performing Matamdari and
Noha-Khwani under the leadership of their leaders where the
rally terminated after Dua and Ziarat.
